Our Founder

I'm Kammy Cevallos, founder of Got a Latina?®, a Latina-owned apparel company built around original brands that celebrate our culture, education, leadership, equality, humor, and legacy.

My path to where I am today has been anything but traditional. I left school in the 11th grade and was living on my own by the age of 16. Life wasn't easy growing up, but those experiences shaped who I am today. I credit my husband for being my anchor during that time. I've often said, "Without him, I would have been a homeless teen." Today, we're proud parents of three children.

Despite being forced to drop out of high school, I never gave up on my education. I earned my GED, followed by an associate's degree, a bachelor's degree, and a Master of Science in Management and Leadership from the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston. I also earned a Women's Entrepreneurship Certificate from Cornell University.

My life experiences, education, and years as an entrepreneur eventually inspired me to create Got a Latina?®.

What makes Got a Latina?® different is that I didn't just come up with phrases to put on T-shirts. I turned my original phrases into individual brands and worked to protect them through trademarks. Although these brands started with me, they represent so many of us. They reflect our culture, our struggles, our accomplishments, our humor, and the pride we have in who we are and where we come from.

Through Got a Latina?®, I want to bring greater visibility to Latinas and Latinos, recognize our accomplishments, celebrate our humor, and honor the legacy we leave behind.

I'm proud to share these brands with you.
